About Me
I don't think that I had much of a choice in what career I was going to pursue, being that my mom was a professional singer. I remember hearing on countless occasions about how I used to drag all the pots out of the cabinet to test their percussive tonality. Fortunately, my skills have advanced way past that level to the point where I teach audio recording and also run my own little production studio. I've been professionally involved in this business for the past 15 years on various levels, from dumb kid with a sampler and a computer to roadie on tour to producer to engineer.
I started out mostly in the urban genre, producing and making hip-hop and RnB beats for local talent. Over the past years, I have begun to branch out into various other genres such as; rock, blues, soca, jazz, funk, classical, eastern, etc...
Basically, I love the fact that you can find good music in any genre, and, that the more you collaborate, the more you learn. I'm always interested in working with different people. Take a listen to some of the tracks that I've worked on, then drop me an e-mail at: kyhan_smith@hotmail.com |
